Today, TOCOS announces the volume production start (in Oct. 2008) of the low-profile
board mountable/compact, non-contact angular sensor.
Programmable Hall IC is used as a detecting component for requirements of
temperature range, rotational angle and output voltage.
Because sensing element has no contacting devices, there will be no 'wear' through the
use and assures longer operating life (20 million cycles) compared to conventional
contacting type sensors. With no electrical contacts, no sliding noise is expected so that
high reliability can be obtained.
Detecting angle: Max. 140°
Potential applications: Personal mobility, Robotics, Office automation equipment.
